summoning the drive necessary to get out of bed. it couldn’t fill a thimble.
edit: kind of found it. in spanish, “dar a luz” is an expression used for giving birth. a literal translation means “to give light.” so that’s kind of cute. however, i soon think of overpopulation and how much excess light is being given. and then i immediately scan my body for melanomas, resenting all of the people who are increasing my likelihood of contracting skin cancer by creating more holes in the ozone layer and in my spirits.
it’s just going to be one of those days.
