Also, this is from my friend I met in Spain, Erik. He was the libertarian who I thought would make me gouge my eyes out with sporks when he talked about the gold standard and abolishing the Fed.
Oddly enough, he became one of my good friends while away and is probably the person with whom I keep in touch the most now that I’m home. [I have found that humoring people is often more effective than arguing.]
Which means:
1. It has been almost a year since I left and seems more and more like a dream with every sigh that escapes my lips, and
2. Lamentably, my judgment is not always infallible. Though this can also be a good thing. I enjoy making friends.
